The decision letter told you no.It didn't tell you what was missing.
It gives you the outcome. It never shows you the exam it leaned on, the evidence it weighed, or the sentence where your claim fell apart. Buddy finds the gap — then builds the package to close it.

You walk out with the paperwork
Statements, the doctor's letter, the real VA forms filled in. You read every word, you sign it, you file it. It's your claim.
What this normally costs a veteran.
These are the going rates. Every one of them is charged to someone who got hurt serving.
Average cost of one nexus letter from a private physician. Range is $500 to $3,000.
What some claims-consulting firms charge per claim.
What a lawyer or accredited agent can take of your back pay.
VeteranBuddy. Flat monthly. We never take a percentage of your back pay. Not now, not ever.
VA has issued warning letters to multiple large claims-consulting firms alleging unaccredited practice, and Congress has held hearings on the industry.
For 21 years, nobody told me.
I'm a Marine. I got hurt in the Corps. For twenty-one years after I got out, nobody told me I could get benefits for it. Not once.
Then I lost everything. I was driving for two ride-share apps, got cut from both, and my income went to zero. I ended up in a VA homeless shelter.
That's where I found out. Sitting in a shelter, I learned the injuries I'd carried for two decades were worth something — and the VA had a process for it. I'd just never been told.
I got curious. Then I got obsessed. I went through my own medical records page by page, found the evidence, and put it in the order the VA needs to see it. It worked.
So I did it for other veterans. Thousands of pages at a time, by hand, looking for the one thing that connects an injury to service. The gap. The thing nobody found because nobody had time to look.
And it hit me: the VA can't do this. Not because they don't care. Because they're buried. Nobody there can audit five thousand pages, one veteran at a time. So the gap stays hidden, and the veteran gets a no.
That's what I built. It reads the whole file — every page — and finds what a human doesn't have time to find. Over a thousand veterans use it now.
“Duty to assist” — what it really means
Most veterans think the VA will come find the evidence for them. That's called the duty to assist. It's a real law.
It's also not enough.
The VA does not have the people or the time to sift through thousands of pages of your records and build your case. The duty to assist gets you a form and an exam. The receipts are on you.
The VA can't pay you for how much you hurt. It can only pay you for what the record proves.
Think about a car accident. The insurance company doesn't pay because you say it happened. They want the photos. The damage report. The estimate. Then they pay.
The VA is the same. They want the in-service injury, the diagnosis today, and the link between them — on paper, in order. Most veterans don't have time to build a package like that. That's the work nobody does. That's why claims fail.
This is not a random AI form-filler
I spent five years doing this by hand, one veteran at a time. Some had been told they had no chance. Some had already been denied twice. I learned what the VA actually looks for, what the letters never say, and what the lawyers and VSOs never tell you.
All of that is built into this tool. It is not a chatbot guessing at your claim. It is the playbook I used by hand, turned into something you can run yourself.
Months waiting on a VSO who never calls back
Some VSOs are excellent. Plenty of veterans get one who never returns a call, gives bad advice, or talks them out of filing at all. So they go to a lawyer or a claims agent instead.
Those can take up to a third of your back pay. And here is the part nobody says out loud: the longer a claim drags, the bigger the back pay — and the bigger their cut. Read that twice.
Money you earned by getting hurt should end up in your pocket, not theirs.
Then there are the claim sharks. Not accredited at all. Some charge $4,500 to $20,000. Some take five months of your increase. VA has sent them warning letters. Congress has held hearings on it.
That has to stop. That is why I built this.
The part veterans like most
It finds the claims you never thought of.
Upload what you have and Buddy looks for hidden secondaries — conditions caused or made worse by the ones you already have — and primaries nobody ever told you were claimable. Then it tells you what to file, when, and in what order, so one claim sets up the next instead of tripping over it.
It also looks above 100%. Special Monthly Compensation — SMC — pays more than a 100% rating when you have lost the use of a limb, are housebound, or need help with daily care. Most veterans have never heard of it, and nobody at the VA volunteers it. Buddy checks whether your record points that way and tells you which tier to read up on.
And when the VA knocks you down, because sooner or later it will, Buddy shows you the next move. Supplemental, Higher-Level Review, or the Board. You get back up with a plan instead of a guess.
It is like having a buddy who has been through it sitting next to you, telling you what to do at every step, so you never get lost in your own claim.
What you actually get
You stop guessing. You stop waiting on someone who will not call back. You stop handing a third of your back pay to someone for work you can do yourself.
You get the strategy. You get the tactics. You get the research — thousands of pages of it, read in minutes instead of months. You get the reasoning a good doctor and a good claims lawyer would both bring to your file, at a price you can actually afford.
Most of all you get the knowledge. The knowledge that strong claims are built on. The part nobody ever handed you.
That is your independence back. That is you in charge of your own claim.
The real reason claims die: you can't name the mechanism
You know you're hurt. You know it started in service. But when you write it down, it comes out vague. And vague leaves it to the examiner to interpret.
“My sleep apnea is probably from my PTSD.”
PTSD keeps your body on alert, even when you are asleep. That makes your airway unstable at night. The medication adds weight, which narrows it further. Both are written up in studies of veterans — and VA has a rule that covers exactly this kind of knock-on condition.
Same veteran. Same condition. One is a guess. The other is an argument.
Most veterans never find the second version. It's not their fault — nobody tells them it exists.
And when the science is shaky, Buddy tells you so. Some links are still argued over by doctors. Buddy flags those as a fight worth making rather than a slam dunk, so you go in knowing which ground is solid. A tool that oversells you is a tool that gets you denied.
What it actually does for your file
Not advice. Not a promise. A finished stack of paper you can hand over.
Reads every page you have
You have thousands of pages. VA does not have time to read them. Neither do you.
Buddy reads every page. Your service records, your VA medical records, your decision letter. Then it tells you in plain English what your claim still needs — while you can still do something about it.
Your records, sorted
Finds the link nobody spelled out
“My sleep apnea is probably from my PTSD.” That is a coin flip. Vague leaves it to the examiner.
Buddy knows 70 of these chains. For each one it shows you the medical reason in plain words, the VA rule it falls under, a real medical study, and a case where the Board agreed. Nothing is invented.
Where most claims die
Writes the doctor's letter for you
A letter like this from a private doctor runs $500 to $3,000. Average is $1,500.
Buddy writes it in the shape the VA expects, with the real studies attached. Your doctor reads it, changes anything she wants, and signs it. Missing that link is the number one reason claims get denied.
Your doctor signs it
Turns what people saw into a statement
Your buddy agreed to write a statement. He has no idea what to say, so it comes back useless.
Buddy turns what you and the people around you actually saw into a proper statement — what they witnessed, not a diagnosis they are not qualified to give. Laid out on the right VA form, ready to sign.
For you and your buddies
Fills the real VA forms
The 21-526EZ has been open in another tab for three weeks. 345 boxes is too many to face alone.
Buddy types what it already knows about you into the real form, box by box. No guessing — your answers, your words. It pulls a fresh copy from VA every day, so you are never filling out last year's version. You read it, you sign it.
The 526EZ and 19 more
Practices the C&P exam with you
Your exam is Tuesday. You freeze up and say “I'm fine” when you are anything but.
Buddy shows you what the examiner is actually grading you on, and which symptoms matter for your condition. Then it runs a practice interview, so Tuesday is not the first time you say it out loud.
Before Tuesday
If it can't prove it, you can't download it.
You have heard the stories about AI making up court cases. So Buddy checks every rule it quotes against the real VA rulebook before you ever see it. If something does not check out, the download button simply stops working. You cannot mail the VA a made-up case by accident, because Buddy will not let it out the door.
